Prayer - December 2004

Dear friend, thank you for your continued prayer support of Gospel Rocky. Everyone involved values your prayers very much. I want you to know that you play a vital role, and to encourage you to continue to pray. It is with this in mind that I bring the following areas to your attention:

Please pray for:

Rocky Kids

  • Pray for the continued commitment & enthusiasm.
  • Pray for each child to deepen their friendship with Jesus.
  • Pray for their continued enjoyment of sharing their faith through their involvement with Gospel Rocky.

Venues

  • Pray for us as we seek new contacts and theatres around the U.K. and develop old ones
  • Pray for us as we perform at Grimsby Auditorium Sunday March 20th and Broxbourne Civic Hall Monday April 11th and for the organisers as they publicise the event. We pray that our shows will be used to help local churches engage in evangelism.

Schools

  • Pray for continued effectiveness in our 13 schools meeting around 3000 children each term.
  • Pray for ideas to flow as we create assembly scripts so that what we do has impact and relevance.
  • Pray for successful partnership with the schools as we work together with teachers , parents & children making costumes & rehearsing their parts in the new Rocky show.

Queen's Theatre

  • New show - June 2005
  • For all the hard work in rehearsals, set building, costume making, visiting schools etc that will be going on from Jan – June.
  • For all the help required to be provided.
  • For the growing friendship with the theatre staff and opportunities to share Jesus with people we meet.
  • For completion of our move into the theatre, and organisation of office space which is still delayed. We would like the situation to be resolved asap.

Media

  • Pray that we will continue to be ready when media opportunities arise.
  • For the right “packaging” of our new show for maximum coverage by press, radio and TV.
  • As we've said before, we would love to see Rocky on TV - pray for this to come about at the right time.
  • Pray about the possibility of Rocky on TV and for this to come about at the right time.
  • For wisdom as we generally develop the project.

Finances

  • That we continue to stay in God's purpose, and work with him to provide the many thousands of pounds which this ministry costs.
  • That we will discover trust funds and sponsorship, and more individuals will offer to support our work.
  • For the success of Frank's CD “Psalm” – that it will help raise finance, be a spiritual blessing to those who listen to the songs, and be taken up by churches for presentation.

Re:act

  • Please pray for an exciting development of this project, which has potential for many hundreds of children getting to know Jesus and growing in faith.
  • Pray for the team as we plan the way forward. We need lots of committed helpers and volunteers if this event is to run on the scale we believe it should. This will require more collaboration between churches and a joint vision for children's outreach in Stoke-on-Trent. It may also be right for us to lay on buses to bring children to the event. If so, who will provide them and at what cost? Please pray about this with us. The next re:act event will be at Easter.
  • Pray for the next re:act event scheduled for October 10th

Rocky Kids club

  • Pray for the leaders and children at Bilston Rocky kids club as they meet every Tuesday.
  • Pray for us as we work with them developing ideas and resources to help the club to be a meeting place between the children and Jesus.
  • Pray for us as we aim to produce DVD's to link the club with Rocky and the Rocky Kids, and also look at safe ways to realise and harness the gospel potential of our internet site.
